 Completed in 2000, these 78-unit apartments, when acquired, were comprised of a long neglected older complex on South Capitol Street in Washington DC. Construction proceeded in phases while the project was semi-occupied. Each building was partially gutted and all new electrical and plumbing systems were installed and roofs and windows were replaced. Completely new interiors were required, including kitchens and baths, light fixtures, doors and other items. The site was substantially landscaped and resident amenities added. New management was introduced and the project was repositioned in the local market. Operations of this property are handled by Patriot’s Management group. Financing was provided by a DCHFA Tax Exempt Bond Issue.
